Goat’s Cheese Dip with Figs, Walnuts & Honey

This creamy goat cheese dip with figs, walnuts, honey and rosemary is a beautiful composition of savoury and sweet. It is a great addition to a cheese platter, a picnic or bbq. I really like serving the dip with flatbread but of course, any bread goes.

Ingredients
Preparation time: 10 minutes

  • 180 g Philadelphia (light) cream cheese

  • 2 tbsp soft goats cheese

  • 2 tbsp natural Greek yoghurt

  • 2 figs

  • 1.5 tbsp honey

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary

  • handful walnuts

  • 2 tsp lime juice

  • pinch of salt and pepper

For garnish:

  • 1/2 fig

  • 1/2 tbsp honey

  • 3 chopped walnuts

  • 1/2 tbsp fresh chopped rosemary

Method

  1. Finely chop 1.5 figs, a handful of walnuts and 1.5 tbsp fresh rosemary.
Keep some of the chopped walnuts, 1/2 tbsp rosemary and 1/2 fig for garnish.

  2. In a bowl, mix 180 g Philadelphia, 2 tbsp soft goats cheese, 2 tbsp natural Greek yoghurt, 1.5 tbsp honey, 2 tsp lime juice and a pinch of salt & pepper until an even creamy mixture comes together.

  3. Now, mix under the chopped walnuts, fig and rosemary until evenly spread.

  4. Garnish with remaining 1/2 fig, walnuts and rosemary and serve with bread for dipping.

Enjoy!
